Swiss property access and security company Dormakaba has opened a new hub in Montreal, Canada.
The new site includes a production facility and brings together all of the company’s existing access solutions locations in Canada. It is aimed at allowing Dormakaba to take advantage of what it calls “the growing global demand for access control solutions in the segment of hospitality.”
Around 600 employees are based at the site, producing “hundreds of thousands” of lock assembly units for multifamily housing, hotels and holiday rentals.
Till Reuter, CEO of Dormakaba, said: “The opening of our new facility in Canada is part of the ongoing optimisation of our global manufacturing network, hence our growth strategy. It shows our clear commitment to reduce complexity in our footprint. It will lead to improved processes and logistics for the benefit of our customers, who can harvest an advanced delivery performance.”
