Australian foreign exchange and contract for difference (CFD) broker, Axi, has announced the opening of its new office in Bangalore, India.

In a social media post, the company announced, “Members of our executive team travelled to India for the office opening, spending a productive few days meeting the team and gaining insights into the rapid growth in Bangalore.”

Axis has joined the proprietary trading space and emerged as an important player in the industry. The firm provides live trading options for traders in contrast to other brokers. They have also questioned the viability of the demo-account based prop trading model.

The company is focusing on marketing investments as it recently extended its sponsorship agreement with Manchester City Football Club. John Stones, a football player for England’s national team, has been signed by Axi to serve as the team’s brand ambassador. Additionally, the firm sponsors Brazilian football team Esporte Clube Bahia.

The company has offices in Australia, the UK, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Cyprus, and, now, India. Axi recently confirmed the opening of an office in Dubai, which will function under full Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) regulation. The broker also holds licenses in the UK, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Australia.
