Dutch speciality chemicals manufacturer Nouryon has launched its new innovation centre in Mumbai, India.
The new innovation centre focuses on developing water-based solutions for paints, construction, and agriculture. It also specialises in powder formulations and seed coating technologies and supports advanced home and personal care product applications.
Along with the new centre, Nouryon has also unveiled its expanded office space. Spanning around 9290sqm (100,000 square feet), it is almost twice the size of its previous office and will initially be used by 325 employees.
The expanded space aims to accommodate its growing global service centre which constitutes commercial teams dedicated to business development. It also provides dedicated technical customer support.
Charlie Shaver, Nouryon chairman and CEO emphasised the importance of the Indian market.
He explained that the expanded presence will “enable us to develop and promote innovative and sustainable solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers across the Indian Subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.”

Owned by the US-based Carlyle Group, Nouryon operates in over 80 countries with around 8,200 employees globally. In 2024, Nouryon announced a new facility in Brazil and expanded an existing site in China.
