Brazilian meat processing giant JBS announced plans to invest $200m at its facilities in Cactus, Texas, and Greeley, Colorado in the US.

JBS will invest $150m in Cactus to establish a new fabrication floor and a ground beef room. It will invest $50m in a new distribution centre in Greeley. Both these sites will begin construction in 2025.

U.S. Congressman (Colorado) Gabe Evans offered similar sentiments appreciating JBS’ efforts in Weld County in Colorado.

“This announcement ensures that the cattle producers and the local businesses that support the facility will continue to thrive and prosper,” he added.

Furthermore, JBS invests in local communities through its Hometown Strong and Better Futures programs. Since 2020, it has poured in over $15 million in Cactus and Greeley, including funding for recreation, education, non-profits, and affordable housing.
