ThyssenKrupp Nucera, a joint venture subsidiary of Germany-based Thyssenkrupp and Italy-based De Nora, has opened a new office in Perth, Australia.
Commenting on the opening in a company press release Dr Johann Rinnhofer, managing director of Thyssenkrupp Nucera Australia, explained: “Western Australia has many attributes that provide a strong competitive advantage in the growing global renewable hydrogen market with its combination of world-class renewable energy resources, vast land mass, established energy infrastructure and a history of exporting energy to international markets… After having worked successfully with our Australian customers for many years, this new focus on the hydrogen sphere of Australia with a base in Perth was a logical business decision.”
The new facility will enable the company to support increased regional demand for green hydrogen. Australia has the potential to export significant amounts hydrogen to Japan and South Korea, which Thyssenkrupp Nucera plans to capitalise on.
The company currently holds a track record of more than 600 projects with a total rating of more than ten gigawatts already successfully installed.
