Canada-based Savaria, a designer and manufacturer of accessibility equipment, has opened a new factory in Querétaro City, Mexico. The 8,826m2 facility will help the company meet growing demand from its US-based dealer network. The site’s proximity to the US market will also reduce lead times and freight costs.
Savaria will produce the Multilift – a vertical platform lift for home and commercial use – at the site. The company is also hiring additional staff with plans to create 100 jobs by the end of 2023.
