Slovakia ranked 45th in the World Bank’s Doing Business Report (2020). In the 2019 report it finished 42nd. In the World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness Report (2019), Slovakia finished 42nd, after ranking 42nd in 2018.

Public healthcare expenditure totalled $5.7bn and private healthcare expenditure equalled $1.4bn in 2018.

The largest urban areas in Slovakia are Presov (831,221 people), Kosice (797,381) and Zilinsky (693,626).
