Georgia is the 242nd largest economy in the world with a GDP of $19.2bn. Georgia’s GDP has grown by 56% between 2010 and 2021 and is expected to grow by 39% by 2025.

As of 2018 there were 147,785 students in tertiary education in Georgia, with 280,425 students in secondary and 305,368 in primary education. Georgia spent 3.8% of its GDP on education in 2019.

Georgia ranked seventh in the World Bank’s Doing Business Report (2020). In the 2019 report it finished sixth. In the World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness Report (2019), Georgia finished 74th, after ranking 74th in 2018.

Public healthcare expenditure totalled $535m and private healthcare expenditure equalled $834m in 2018.
