As of 2018 there were 443,693 students in tertiary education in Ghana, with 2.7 million students in secondary and 4.4 million in primary education. Ghana spent 4% of its GDP on education in 2018.

Ghana ranked 118th in the World Bank’s Doing Business Report (2020). In the 2019 report it finished 114th. In the World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness Report (2019), Ghana finished 111st, after ranking 111st in 2018.

Public healthcare expenditure totalled $703m and private healthcare expenditure equalled $1.5bn in 2018.
