Arvato, a provider of supply chain management and e-commerce solutions, has announced plans for new distribution centres in Italy and Poland to better serve the needs of its omnichannel retail client Douglas Group.
The new distribution centres will handle fulfillment for Douglas customers, as well as stores in Italy, Poland, Central Eastern Europe and the Baltics. They will complement the existing operations that Arvato manages for Douglas in the DACH region.

The first distribution centre will cover an area of 46,000sqm in Mszczonów, near Warsaw, Poland. Douglas says it will be one of only ten BREEAM-certified warehouse properties in Poland, featureing smart metering systems to monitor energy consumption and intelligent lighting controls for energy efficiency.
The second, located in Bologna, Italy, will cover an area of 18,000sqm. Operations at both are expected to begin in the second half of 2025.
