Chery, a Chinese automotive brand, has opened what it claims to be the largest automotive spare parts distribution centre in the Middle East.

The new facility, located near Jebel Ali port and Al Maktoum International airport in the UAW, stocks over 20,000 types of spare parts, covering a wide range of Chery models in the region.

The company stated that setting up the Middle East Regional Spare Parts Distribution Centre is a crucial element of its globalisation strategy, showcasing its “deep understanding” of the region’s market requirements.

The centre’s prime location enables “timely and accurate” supply of spare parts for a wide range of Chery models available in the Middle East.

The Middle East Regional Spare Parts Distribution Center has logistics facilities and is staffed with multilingual professionals. With 14 dispatch ports, the centre is expected to increase cargo throughput.

The adoption of a new logistics management system and improved warehouse design is expected to improve delivery efficiency, thereby reducing shipping times and providing faster service to customers, the company added.

Meanwhile, on the same day, Chery also marked a milestone with launch of the TIGGO 9 in the UAE and Kuwait.

The TIGGO 9, a high-end SUV, is part of Chery’s strategy to meet the growing demand for premium vehicles in the Middle East.

In November 2024, Chery and Ebro-EV Motors launched vehicle production at their joint venture factory in Barcelona.

The joint venture agreement, signed in April, aims to develop, and produce vehicles under the relaunched Ebro brand.

Ebro EV Motors took over the facility, located in the Villa Franca port area of Barcelona, from Nissan after the company halted production in 2021.
