Germany-based Global Sourcing GmbH, a mechanical engineering company, has opened a new metal products manufacturing factory in Prozor-Rama, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The company has made an investment of 20m marka ($11m) in the GS-Rama factory so far, proving its long-term commitment to the plant and its potential. Eventually, the investment could double and reach 40m marka ($22m). The expansion will create local job opportunities and increase production capacity.

While the factory currently employs 70 workers, as it expands, Global Sourcing expects it to reach its full capacity and eventually employ between 250 and 300 people.

The factory will benefit from subsidies granted by the Prozor-Rama municipality, which will reach 2m marka ($1m). The local government announced this financial support two years ago when the construction of the plant began.

Global Sourcing is the owner of GS Tvornica Masina Travnik, commonly known as GS-TMT, which is a machine parts manufacturer located in Bosnia.
