French IT consultancy multinational WebHelp is setting up a new regional headquarters in El Salvador, as part of an expansion of its operations in Latin America.
The new facility in Santa Elena, Antiguo Cuscatlan, will cost $10m and generate more than 1,400 new bilingual jobs in the country.
During a ground-breaking ceremony, WebHelp operations vice-president Santiago Rossi: “The new office represents WebHelp’s commitment to providing its employees with the best possible working conditions and will undoubtedly help attract more talent to the organisation.
“The investment in the Santa Elena headquarters is fully aligned with WebHelp’s environmental, social and governance strategy, as it is equipped with more than 1000 solar panels. We are proud that this investment meets approximately 45% of the building’s energy requirements, saving more than 40,000 tonnes of CO₂ each year, which is equivalent to 240,000 trees.”
WebHelp’s new office features ergonomic stations, high-speed internet connectivity and state-of-the-art video conferencing capabilities, enabling teams to seamlessly collaborate with colleagues and customers around the world.
The ground-breaking event was also attended by El Salvador’s Minister of Economy Maria Luisa Hayem, who stressed the attractiveness of the country for investments and relocation due to its strategic location in the heart of Central America, its terrestrial connectivity and its human talent.
