Aircall, a cloud-based call centre software specialist, has opened a new office in London. The investment forms part of a wider European growth strategy and the office will operate as a local hub serving UK-based customers including Revolut, Royal Bank of Scotland, Spareroom and AnyVan.
The London site is the company’s fifth opening after global headquarters in Paris, France, and additional locations in New York, Madrid and Sydney. Aircall has announced plans to hire across a range of roles at the new office including sales representatives, partnerships, customer success leaders and engineers.
Andreï Sochala, vice-president of sales for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific, explained in a company press release: “Despite a very competitive market, the UK picked us, with more than 1,000 companies becoming Aircall customers without any local presence – and we’re now picking the UK.” Sochala added: “Our London team will be closer to our key partners so we can work hand in hand to bring the best-integrated phone solution to their users.”
Aircell raised $120m in Series D funding, led by Goldman Sachs, in June 2021, allowing the company to achieve unicorn status.
