German group Allied Heat Exchange AG (A-HEAT) has announced that it will build a 37,000sqm heat exchanger production facility for its German subsidiary brand, Güntner, in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The new Güntner facility claims to be the largest heat exchanger factory in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) area. It will act as a major production and distribution hub providing faster and more flexible deliveries across the GCC, India, China, Africa and Asia.

The JAFZA-planned purpose-built facility, which will span an area of 111,000sqm, will address the growing need for energy-efficient cooling solutions, especially for data centres.

JAFZA was founded in 1985 to promote trading and support flows at Jebel Ali ports. It is located in Dubai, between Jebel Ali Port, and Al Maktoum International Airport.

A-Heat board member Hubert Spegel, said “This milestone marks a significant step in our ongoing commitment to the Middle East and global markets. Our collaboration with DP World and JAFZA underscores our dedication to providing the most advanced and energy-efficient cooling solutions for industries that depend on optimal thermal management.”

In addition to the production of its heat exchangers for “natural” refrigerants, the factory will also make the solutions Güntner Aicore Smart Control. The new technology, currently optimized by R&D Guntner, will also be produced at this facility.
