Mane SA, a French producer of fragrances and flavours, has launched a new manufacturing facility in Woodlawn, Ohio, US.
The new facility promises a five-time increase in the company’s North American production capacity, a vital step in realizing Mane’s growth plans for the next two decades.
First announced in March 2024, the new $100m facility expands Mane’s existing site in Woodlawn. The new site enhances its capacity to serve the expanding food and beverage sector. The facility will leverage advanced robotic technology to increase its automated capacity.
Spanning 9,300sqm, the new facility will have an annual production capacity of 15,000 tons. It includes a larger warehouse offering expanded frozen storage alongside a dedicated production space. Additionally, the facility triples large-tank compounding capacity and doubles its emulsion-based flavour system production.
Amy McDonald, president of Mane’s North American flavour division, stated that the new Woodlawn facility is aimed at significantly increasing Mane’s North American market share for liquid flavours.
“It allows us to uphold Mane’s customer-focused manufacturing strategy, ensuring a reliable supply and even greater agility and responsiveness to customer needs,” she added.
The news follows the company’s recent launch of a new fragrance factory in Saku City, Japan. In the past year, Mane has also announced investments in Bangladesh, South Korea, and Indonesia.
