Mercedes-Benz Northern Ireland (MBNI) Truck and Van has opened an $8m high-end aftersales centre in Dungannon, Northern Ireland, creating twenty jobs in the area.

The facility includes a parts warehouse, new electric vehicle infrastructure, and a new office for MBNI’s rental division, RentaMerc, located off the motorway and next to the M1 service area in Dungannon.

At the opening, MBNI’s CEO Pauline McKeating said that the new site would allow the company to better service “commercial and private customers.” She added, “In just nine months we have built a state-of-the-art 1393.55sqm facility that truly reflects our reputation in the marketplace, our commitment to the Dungannon area and to our wider customer base throughout Northern Ireland.”

The positions available at the Dungannon site will include car and commercial vehicle technicians, service advisors, parts advisors and administrative staff as an extensive recruitment drive goes underway.

McKeating said they are “looking for the very best people to represent [the] company ethos.” In return, employees “will have the opportunity to work in a fantastic environment with the latest technology for a leading business that is growing rapidly and is renowned for valuing its team members.”

The investment comes amid a period of significant expansion for the company. The site offers a better range of commercial vehicles, six drive-through truck maintenance bays, nine light vehicle maintenance bays and a tachograph rolling road.
