Thoma Bravo, a US-based private equity and growth capital firm, plans to open a new office in London. It will complement existing offices in Chicago, Miami and San Francisco and will be in St James’s Square in London’s West End. Thoma Bravo will be working alongside other major private equity companies that have recently moved to the square, including Cinven, Glendower, Astorg and PAI.
Thoma Bravo is one of the largest private equity firms in the world, with more than $114bn in assets under management as of March 2022. The company made its first European buyout deal in 2011, when it acquired a majority stake France-based software firm InfoVista. Its business is anchored by Thoma Bravo Flagship Funds, which represent a series of private equity funds focusing on investing in tech and software companies.
