The US-based Statevolt will build a new state-of-the-art, platform-neutral battery cell gigafactory in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.
The factory built by Statevolt will produce semiconductor battery cells, with the goal to switch to solid-state battery cells when the project reaches full capacity. The project will be built on an area of 60 hectares in the Al Hamra Industrial Zone in RAKEZ and is expected to create up to 2,500 direct jobs.

According to Statevolt, the gigafactory is designed to set a new standard for battery technology with its ultimate safety and extended life cycle, offering battery solutions that adapt to a wide range of climates and conditions.
