Tenaris, a manufacturer of steel pipe products headquartered in Luxembourg, has opened an industrial facility in Abu Dhabi Industrial City.
The Etihad Tubulars industrial complex, valued at $60m (AED 220m), spans over 200,000 sqm and is set to become a hub for enhancing the technical expertise of ADNOC engineers, local talents, and partners through a dedicated training centre. The complex will feature a pipe service yard designed for the storage, inspection, and preparation of pipe products.
Tenaris’s latest investment round aligns with the UAE government’s ‘Make it in the Emirates‘ initiative, an invitation to local and international investors to set up business in the UAE and drive industrial growth.
According to Paolo Rocca, Tenaris Chairman & CEO, “We are delighted to be here today in the Emirates to open this latest addition to our global industrial system and strengthen our longstanding partnership with ADNOC. With this new facility, we will contribute to the UAE’s economic goals and strengthen the service we provide to ADNOC and the local energy industry.”
In February 2024, Abu Dhabi secured another multi-million-dollar commitment from the UK-based Centurion Group. The company has opened a waterfront fabrication facility spanning 50,000 sqm in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi.
