The US subsidiary of Canada-based provider of aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul services Premier Aviation has announced it will invest $32.5m in a new facility in Bay County, Florida.
Located at Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport, the new facility will manufacture Embraer’s ERJ 145, EMB 175, 190 and ATR’s ATR42 and 72 aircraft models.

Florida is one of the only four US states – alongside California, New York and Texas – to record more than 100 inbound projects in 2022. The US state has a total Inward Investment State Competitiveness index score of 1.27, representing the number of greenfield foreign direct investment projects compared with the size of its economy.
Several industries including construction, international banking and aerospace and defence are now well-established in Florida. Among the cities considered best for investment, Miami, Tampa and Orlando come out on top.
