Barcelona-based Airplan, a provider of global solutions for clean rooms and process lines, will serve the Mexican market from a new headquarters facility. The company, established in 1968, believes it has identified a gap in the local biopharmaceutical market for life science engineering services and turnkey clean room projects.
Roberto Medellín, general director and partner of Airplan Mexico, says:
“Supported by our centres in Europe and the US, we believe we can occupy a currently vacant space in the country… that of being a global technology partner with a local vocation. ”
In addition to its global headquarters in Barcelona, Airplan also has a facility in Florida, which it opened in 2013. Globally the company has carried out more than 2000 projects across 40 countries with a primary focus on the pharmaceutical and life science, cosmetic, chemical and food industry sectors.
